บริษัท จีดีเอช 559 จำกัด ( ภาษาไทย : บริษัท จีดีเอช 559 จำกัด ) หรือที่รู้จักในชื่อจีดีเอชเป็นสตูดิโอภาพยนตร์ในเครือของกลุ่มบริษัทบันเทิงไทยจีเอ็มเอ็ม แกรมมี่ก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อวันที่ 5 มกราคม 2559 เพื่อสืบทอดกิจการจากจีเอ็มเอ็ม ไท ฮับ (จีทีเอช) ซึ่งเป็นสตูดิโอภาพยนตร์ที่ประสบความสำเร็จมากที่สุดของประเทศไทยในช่วง 11 ปีที่ผ่านมา และได้ยุบเลิกไปในเดือนธันวาคม 2558 เนื่องจากความขัดแย้งภายในระหว่างผู้ถือหุ้นรายใหญ่ 3 ราย ได้แก่ จีเอ็มเอ็ม แกรมมี่, ไท เอนเตอร์เทนเมนต์และฮับ โฮ ฮิน จีดีเอช ได้ผลิตภาพยนตร์หลากหลายประเภท เช่น โรแมนติก ตลก สยองขวัญ และดราม่า รวมถึงภาพยนตร์ยอดฮิตอย่าง Bad GeniusและHow to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies
พื้นหลัง
GDH ก่อตั้งขึ้นจากการร่วมทุนระหว่างGMM GrammyและHub Ho Hin BangkokหลังจากการปิดตัวของGMM Tai Hubบริษัทจดทะเบียนเมื่อวันที่ 14 ธันวาคม 2558 ด้วยทุนจดทะเบียน 150,000,000 ล้านบาท โดยมีสัดส่วนการถือหุ้นเท่าเดิม หลังจากการลาออกของ วิสุทธิ์ พูลวรลักษณ์อดีตประธานของ GTH GMM Grammy และ Hub Ho Hin ได้กลับมารวมกันอีกครั้งเพื่อก่อตั้ง GDH 559 ซึ่งรับช่วงต่อบุคลากรและทรัพยากรด้านความคิดสร้างสรรค์เกือบทั้งหมดจาก GTH
ตามที่Jira Maligoolกล่าว ชื่อบริษัทนั้นย่อมาจากGross Domestic Happinessซึ่งหมายถึงความสุขของผู้ชมและพนักงานและตัวเลขในชื่อบริษัทหมายถึงวันและปีที่ก่อตั้งบริษัท รวมถึงจำนวนผู้ถือหุ้นรายใหม่ 59 คน[ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ]ในช่วงที่บริษัทใช้ชื่อว่า GTH นั้น GMM Grammy ถือหุ้น 51% และ Hub Ho Hin Bangkok ถือหุ้น 15% และ Tai Entertainment ถือหุ้น 30% แม้จะมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงด้านการบริหารจัดการ แต่ GDH ยังคงมีสำนักงานใหญ่ในกรุงเทพฯ เช่นเดียวกับ Hub Ho Hin Film และ GTH และได้ขยายไปยังบริษัทอื่นๆ ในบริเวณใกล้เคียงอีกด้วย
บริษัทใช้ชื่อทางการค้าชั่วคราวว่าGDH Five Five Nineจนกว่าจะมีการออกโลโก้อย่างเป็นทางการ จากนั้นจึงเปลี่ยนชื่อทางการค้าปัจจุบันเป็น GDH เฉยๆ[ 4 ]

GDH 559 is owned by GMM Grammy, which holds a majority 51-percent stake, and Hub Ho Hin, which owns 15 percent. The rest is held by individual shareholders, most of whom are the company's staff and crew. GDH operates the various aspects of its business through its subsidiaries and affiliates:
Jor Kwang Films Co., Ltd. is GDH's production company, although it is not a direct subsidiary; the company is owned by GDH's directors and producers.[5]

Filmography
Alongside its current slate of films, GDH 559 also owns the distribution rights to all of the film libraries produced and distributed by its predecessor companies GTH, GMM Pictures, Tai Entertainment and Hub Ho Hin Bangkok.[7]
As of 2021, the majority of the GDH/GTH film catalogue is now available on streaming in Thailand through Disney+ Hotstar.[8][9]
In 2023, GDH established an international distribution unit called Out of the Box to distribute international films under the GDH label. Its first acquisition under the label is Past Lives.[10]
